Bridging physical and digital creative workflows with Canvastique3D! Canvastique3D is a Unity-based project that seamlessly integrates OpenCV👁 and OpenAI into a creative workspace, allowing for real-time previews of handmade designs on 3D models. By mounting an external webcam above a physical square canvas, you can then sketch or apply your design, and watch it immediately project onto a model.
This project is the result of a series of experiments aiming to create a workspace where technology augments traditional workflows in a seamless and intuitive way. While the current state of the application is far from achieving the ideal workspace, it's perhaps a step toward a genuinely human-centred creative environment where tangible tools and materials take the stage.
